The series is made up of 10 cards and each card, complete with an envelope, has a literary reference on the reverse relating to the flower featured.
The history of botany, and disclosing its most rare and precious aspects, has always been part of the Aboca project. The Hortus Amoenissimus, which Franciscus de Geest painted at the end of the 17th century, contains more than 200 illustrations of flowers. Still today it amazes through the freshness of the colours and the grace of the marks with which each species is drawn. The reproduction of the original manuscript, held at Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale, Rome, was curated and published by Aboca Edizioni.
