Narcissus, poppy, iris and tulip. All of the 200 pages of Flower Notes have transparencies of details of four splendid plates from the Hortus Eystettensis by Basilius Besler (1561-1629). A delicate presence for each moment of your day.
The history of botany, and disclosing its most rare and precious aspects, has always been part of the Aboca project.
The Hortus Eystettensis, which Basilius Besler depicted at the end of a 16 years study, was published in 1613. It contains more than 1.000 illustrations of plants; for the first time, the plants are ordered on the basis of their flowering period. The reproduction of the original manuscript, held at Eichstätt University Library, was curated and published by Aboca Edizioni.
